Falcons Dominate Chargers, Win 22-16
Despite turning the ball over three times to the San Diego Chargers in this game, the Atlanta Falcons were able to control this game on both sides of the ball to win. The Falcons had the ball for over 34 minutes. This was big win for the Falcons to remain in the playoff hunt. However, for the San Diego Chargers, their playoff hope seems to be almost over.
This game between the Chargers and Falcons, also marked the return of former Chargers running back, Michael Turner. Michael Turner had a nice game against his former teammates. Even though Turner, fumble the ball and was stop at the goaline, Turner did have over 100 yards in rushing to help the Atlanta Falcons control the clock.
The Chargers offense struggled to get any rhythm in the game and having poor field position, did not help either. LaDainian Tomlinson was held to only 24 yards rushing, but did score one touchdown. However, the Chargers had too many missed opportunities. In the first quarter, the Chargers went for the first down to keep the driving going, but the ball got knocked down. Later in the game, the Chargers had a field goal blocked.
Now, the Chargers have a short this week to prepare as they have to play the Oakland Raiders on Thursday. With the Denver Broncos winning on Sunday against the New York Jets, the Broncos have a three game lead with four game remaining in the AFC West. The Chargers can only hope they can win out and that the Broncos lose two games before their meeting, but it might be too late for the San Diego Chargers. At this point, all the Chargers got is hope.

Chargers Lose Again at the End
At the beginning of this game, the San Diego Chargers knew that if they won this game, they would be one game behind the Denver Broncos for the AFC West title. However, the Chargers were not able to take advantage and lost another game at the end. This was a tough lost for the Chargers to swallow. After the Chargers and Colts exchanging field goals, Philip Rivers was able to find Vincent Jackson for a touchdown in the second quarter. The Indianapolis Colts were able to comeback with a field goal to tie the game at the half 10-10.
The Chargers were driving and had the ball at the Colts 24-yard line. However, the Colts were able to strip the ball from Philip Rivers, which would lead to a Colts touchdown. Later in the game, the Colts were leading 20-10, but credit to Chargers for coming back to tie the game 20-20. One thing a football team cannot do is give Peyton Manning time on the clock to win a game. Unfortunately, for the Chargers, this is what happen and the Colts kicked the game winning field goal to beat the Chargers 23-20.
Time is running out on the San Diego Chargers. Next up for the Chargers, is the return of Michael Turner and the Atlanta Falcons to San Diego. Peyton Manning and the Colts got their revenge against the Chargers for kicking them out of the playoffs last year. And now, Michael Turner will want to get his revenge against the Chargers for not resigning him. Even though the Denver Broncos lost, the Chargers need to step it up, if they expect to make the playoffs.
Sweet Revenge for Raiders
For the Oakland Raiders, it has been a tough year, especially at the start of the season when the lost to the Denver Broncos, 14 to 41. Oh, how sweet is revenge. The Raiders were able to make the big plays to help them win this game, 31-10. Ashley Lelie also was able to comeback to Denver to get his revenge against his former team by making some big catches and scoring a touchdown. Credit to the Oakland Raiders defense for holding the Broncos offense to just 10 points in this game.
As the Oakland Raiders move forward to play the Kansas City Chiefs next week, the Denver Broncos have a big game against Bret Favre and the New York Jets. For the Broncos, they need to keep on winning game to win the AFC West and get into the playoffs. But, if the Denver Broncos expect to succeed, they need to play better then they played in this game. We shall see as the season heads towards the final five games.
Good Cowboy, Bad Cowboy?
The NFL reinstated Dallas Cowboys CB Adam “Pacman” Jones this week, but he won’t be able to play until December 7th against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Good for Jones for going through the alcohol treatment program. Can Adam Jones stay on the right track? How are others in the locker room going to respond to him? Should this is should be Jones last chance for this year, if he messes up again? Hopefully for Adam Jones, he has learned his lesson. We shall see.
On the other hand, Cowboys QB Tony Romo went to the movies recently and bought a homeless man his movie ticket. Not only that, Romo even told the homeless man to sit next to him during the movie. The man even admitted to Tony Romo that he had not showered in a couple of days. But, it did brother Romo because as an NFL player, guess what, they are use to locker rooms and those of you who know, that place does have not the greatest smell! For “Pacman” Jones, if there was a role model he wanted to follow and use as an example of doing things the right way, his own teammates is a great example. Good for you, Tony Romo!

Who will win the Chargers or Colts?
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment. Is the Chargers Season Over?
Not yet because there are six games left and like they say, on any given Sunday. However, the only way the San Diego Chargers are going to get into the playoffs is to win their division. With the Denver Broncos having a two game lead, the Chargers cannot really afford to lose any more games. But, before the Chargers meeting with the Denver Broncos at the last game of the season, the Chargers need to be only one game back.
During LaDainian Tomlinson news conference on Monday, he talking was talking about missed opportunities and that his time is limited on playing football and it’s true. But, this is why you play the game.
A couple of years ago, when the Pittsburgh Steelers were 7-6, many people probably thought that their season was over, but the Steelers went on a great run and guess what, they won the Super Bowl. So, lets worried what the Chargers can control and starts this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. Just win that game and go from there. We shall see what happens.

Chargers Find Another Way to Lose in Pittsbrugh
This was a total team loss for the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers offensive had opportunities to make plays to win the game, but made costly turnovers. Nate Kaeding had a chance to put the Chargers on top, but missed a costly field goal. And the Chargers defense made some great plays, but when the Chargers defense needed a stop towards the end of the game, it did not happen.
In the first quarter, as the Chargers were driving, Vincent Jackson would drop a catch, but Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu made a spectacular interception. Later in the quarter though, the Chargers did have a nice drive and LaDainian Tomlinson would score a 3-yards touchdown run.
In the second quarter, the Chargers defense made a great goal line stance to prevent the Steelers from scoring a touchdown. However, the Steelers were able to strip Rivers of the ball and scored a safety. Towards the end of the quarter, the Chargers were driving, but Philip Rivers threw a costly interception that ended the drive, which lead to a Steelers filed goal. In the second half, the Chargers and Steelers would exchanged field goal. But, towards the end, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to drive the ball and scored the game winning field goal. With a 11-10 lost, the Chargers are now 0-13 in Pittsburgh.
Now, the Chargers are two games behind the Denver Broncos. With just six games left, time is running out on the Chargers playoff hopes. The Chargers need to win the rest of their games and hope that Denver Broncos loses a game before their meeting at the end of the season or the Chargers will missed the playoffs. The Chargers need to come together and play a total team game, if they are going to beat the Indianapolis Colts next week.
