On Thursday, former San Diego Chargers quarterback, Ryan Leaf was indicted with on drug and burglary charges. What’s is wrong with this story? The fact that Leaf cannot turned his life around in unbelievable. The Chargers drafted Ryan Leaf as their first pick and second overall draft pick in the 1998 draft. But, Ryan Leaf’s NFL career turned out be a was huge disappointment.

Ryan Leaf’s NFL career ended in 2002. After a short stint as West Texas A&M quarterbacks coach, Ryan Leaf was put on indefinite leave for allegedly asking one of his players for a pain killer. In late 2008, he resigned from his position at West Texas.

But, the fact that Ryan Leaf continues to struggle with life after football is too bad. Coming out Washington State, there was so much potential for Ryan Leaf as a successful college player. And for all that potential to not be fulfilled is unfortunate. If Ryan Leaf has hit rock bottom, hopefully he will be able to get his life straight, but we will have to wait and see what happens next.
