Chargers End Redskins Long Season
This has been a long and disappointing season for the Washington Redskins. And, the San Diego Chargers helped put the Redskins out of their misery, by coming back and the beating the Redskins, 23-20 with 35 seconds left in the game. The Redskins had their chances to win, but when your 4-12, you find a way to lose and they did again on Sunday.
As for the San Diego Chargers, they just found another way to win. The Chargers sat out their starters by the 2nd quarter and the Chargers backups did a great job of coming back and winning. The San Diego Chargers won their 11 straight game and are now looking forward to the playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Washington Redskins, they have to look forward to next year, with possibly new players and coaches. We will see if the 2010 Redskins can do better than they did this past season. But, the San Diego Chargers do not have to wait to September to play again. The Chargers will be in the playoffs. The only question for the Chargers is can they keep their momentum going? We shall see.

Donovan McNabb Embarrassed by Team’s Performance
Donovan McNabb wrote in his blog, on Yardbaker.com, that he was embarrassed on how the Philadelphia Eagles played the last two weeks. Donovan McNabb felt that his team should have beaten the Washington Redskins and the Chicago Bears. Donovan McNabb reiterated his feelings at his news conference, on Wednesday. McNabb felt that the Philadelphia Eagles could have played better and that everyone, including himself, needed to step it up.
What’s wrong with the Philadelphia Eagles is that they are only just two games behind in the division. Anything can still happen, but the better team did win the last two Sundays. It easy to say we should have done this or that, but you got to make the plays to win games. Maybe it’s just one or two plays that decides the game, but that’s football. Like they say, “It is what it is” or “On any given Sunday.” That’s true in this case as well. Hopefully for the Philadelphia Eagles, they’ll listen to Donovan McNabb and do what they need to do to start winning games. Only time will tell where the Eagles go from here.

The Kickoff to the 2008 Season Has Begun
It’s finally here, the start of the NFL Season. An exciting time for all football fans. The Washington Redskins vs. Eli Manning and the defending Super Bowl Champions, New York Giants. The Giants won 16-7. For the most part, it was a good game for the New York Giants, but what went wrong for the Washing Redskins in this game? Well, the Washington Redskins couldn’t pass the ball. Even with without Micheal Strahan, the Giants defense were able to dominate the game.
As for Eli Manning, he went 19 to 35 for 216 yards, 0 touchdowns and 1 interception. But, what’s wrong with Eli Manning, well, let me think… Oh, thats right, he didn’t want to play for the San Diego Chargers. However, thats okay. Why you ask? Well, with the trade for Eli Manning, the Chargers got a quarterback that wanted to play for San Diego, Philip Rivers. Also, in the trade, the San Diego Chargers would eventually get Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding. So, thank you, Eli. While his run to the Super Bowl is over, the run for the San Diego Chargers has just begun.
