Is the Chargers Season Over?
Not yet because there are six games left and like they say, on any given Sunday. However, the only way the San Diego Chargers are going to get into the playoffs is to win their division. With the Denver Broncos having a two game lead, the Chargers cannot really afford to lose any more games. But, before the Chargers meeting with the Denver Broncos at the last game of the season, the Chargers need to be only one game back.
During LaDainian Tomlinson news conference on Monday, he talking was talking about missed opportunities and that his time is limited on playing football and it’s true. But, this is why you play the game.
A couple of years ago, when the Pittsburgh Steelers were 7-6, many people probably thought that their season was over, but the Steelers went on a great run and guess what, they won the Super Bowl. So, lets worried what the Chargers can control and starts this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. Just win that game and go from there. We shall see what happens.

There is one more factor to the chargers winning their division. In your above scenario of the chargers going into the last game one game out of first and winning the broncos in the last game the tie breaker would be their division record which is currently tied. The chargers can not lose a single division game or they will lose any edge at all.
That being said, how big the Chargers loss on a blown call in the last game with Denver and also Denvers loss to KC remain to be seen. Division wins are a must to get into the playoffs.
